The musicians of The Nomadic Roots come from North London, United Kingdom. The reggae beat of West Indies becomes enhanced with various influences of the metropolis – jazz, rock, blues, funk and the world music.
They stand defending the uprising for peace, freedom and equality by such great forerunners as Bunny Wailer, Winston Rodney, Robert Marley and the like.
They know their roots reggae from years of experience; touring in Europe, song writing and recording. Being versatile and open to the diverse world of music they are taking their roots to a new place.
Playing live and recording real instruments they sound surprisingly refreshing, nor that they are afraid of sounding a bit retro to those from the new generation who have only ever been exposed to artificial digital samples of reality.
Careful listener will be able to detect more dimensions within the music brought to us by The Nomadic Roots. Some is serious and requires careful reflection, some is rootsy with spiritual aspects and some is just plain fun for relaxation and enjoyment.
